KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the support of the daily activities of MEDITECH, and additional related clinical software applications.
  • Provides training to hospital staff and assists in the implementation and testing of various clinical software and system updates in a multi-facility, multi-campus environment.
  • Will analyze user needs, requirements, procedures, and problems relevant to assigned information system programs to automate processing and improve functionality of the primary and associated clinical system programs of the Healthcare Information Systems (HCIS) by evaluating, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining the feature/functions of new and existing systems.
  • Will lead/manage assigned projects and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered as a RN, LPN, EMT or CNA in the State of Colorado or certified Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Direct experience with the use and support of the MEDITECH system is a must.
  • 5+ years clinical information systems experience (or equivalent) implementing and supporting clinical computerized applications required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical role in an acute hospital, clinic, or long-term care environment preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with implementation and direct support of clinical/ancillary related Healthcare Information Systems in an IS department preferred.
  • NPR and Crystal report writer, Rules, compiled reports, UR and QI a plus.
  • MEDITECH experience required. Experience with QI tools and proven team leadership desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area preferred.
