A beautiful community hospital 1 hour east of Grand Junction, CO is seeking an IT Network Engineer who will join them in improving the health and wellbeing of their community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. Monitors network performance and troubleshoots problem areas as needed.
  • Design, deploy and manages company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
  • Manages servers, including database, e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Performs server and security audits, and system backups and recovery. Provides guidance to the IT Help Desk team. On-call availability as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in computer science or 4 years equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Cisco Certified Network Professional.
  • Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
  • Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
  • Extensive application support experience with all Microsoft products.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License and Vehicle as well as Home telephone number and/or cell phone for on-call coverage.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of hospital location.
